Guilds is a community-driven platform for discussion with minimal algorithmic manipulation — not one built to maximize engagement. It includes discussions, photos, questions, and long-form articles styled as “Manuscripts.”
Longer term, Guilds is built toward decentralized community governance and self-sustaining operation — a free speech ecosystem where individual guilds set their own standards rather than one central authority.
I think Nixon is defintley a strong candidate, but I would love to hear the opinions of others!
Coolidge gets dismissed as "silent" but the restraint was deliberate policy, not absence of one. A "do-nothing" presidency doesn't make for a compelling textbook chapter, which is probably why he's underrated rather than disliked.
