Welcome
Guilds is a community-driven platform for discussion with minimal algorithmic manipulation — not one built to maximize engagement. It includes discussions, photos, questions, and long-form articles styled as “Manuscripts.”
Longer term, Guilds is built toward decentralized community governance and self-sustaining operation — a free speech ecosystem where individual guilds set their own standards rather than one central authority.
Interestingly enough, the guy was accepted back into the community after the war. Even today, though he is a contentious figure, relatives of his many victims meet with him. Africa is full of batshit insane stuff like this. Wait until you find about the Sudanese pilot and bombardier who blogged his time fighting in the Sudanese Civil War WHILE ADDICTED TO METH. lol
I want to go back in time and give that guy meta glasses. POV taking meth and bombing your own country lol!
You need not travel in time brother, he vlogged it on the internet. XD https://www.reddit.com/r/NonCredibleDefense/comments/1gcp7mt/i_dont_know_what_i_was_expecting_to_find_on_rmeth/ though his reddit account is now banned. (Hence the need for this site)
Joshua Milton Blahyi, who is better known as General Butt Naked, is a former warlord of the First Liberian Civil War. Blahyi claims that he became a high priest in a secret society at a young age. He said that during his priesthood, he would receive visions of children meant to be sacrificed. He would regularly conduct abductions of the children sent to him in his visions, and practice human sacrifice. This claim, however, is disputed by his half-brother, who instead says that Blahyi spent his early years selling "Kool-Aid and Chicken" at a local market, before getting himself involved in drug trafficking and robberies. Fast forward to 1993 during the First Liberian Civil War. Blahyi has become a warlord and formed his own militia of around 40 fighters known as the "Naked Base Commandos". Most of his fighters where between the ages of nine and eighteen. Blahyi funded his militia by selling locally mined diamonds to Mexican drug cartels, in exchange for weapons and cocaine. He kept morale up by lacing his militia's food with cocaine and playing multiple Jean-Claude Van Damme films, expressing to his men that killing people was a game. During conflict, Blahyi and his men would charge into combat only wearing combat boots and "magic charms" which they believed made them "immune to bullets". Picture 40, Butt Naked soldiers with AK-47's, high on cocaine, charging at you! Blahyi claims that over the course of 3 years, him and his men where responsible for 20,000 deaths (about 10% of the war's entire death toll). This number is obviously highly contested and criticized. Still alive today, Joshua Milton Blahyi is now a Liberian preacher and philanthropist. The major life change coming after he reportedly experienced a vision of Jesus Christ.
