Guilds is a community-driven platform for discussion with minimal algorithmic manipulation — not one built to maximize engagement. It includes discussions, photos, questions, and long-form articles styled as “Manuscripts.”
Longer term, Guilds is built toward decentralized community governance and self-sustaining operation — a free speech ecosystem where individual guilds set their own standards rather than one central authority.
What strikes me most about this passage is the way it dissolves the ordinary boundary between the Creator and creation. God is not presented as a distant being standing outside the universe, but as the reality within which everything exists and from which everything receives its being. At the same time, I do not think Hermes is simply saying that God and the material universe are identical. The visible world may reveal Him, but it cannot contain or exhaust Him. He is present in every form while remaining beyond form itself. In that sense, creation is not the whole of God, but something like His outward expression: the visible trace of an invisible and limitless source. It is a difficult idea to put into language because the moment we define God, we reduce Him to something the human mind can contain. Perhaps that is why Hermes speaks through apparent contradictions. God is hidden and revealed, nowhere in particular and yet present everywhere.
